In today’s high-performance power systems, the details matter - especially when it comes to over-current protection at the battery. Whether you’re building a marine electrical bank, a mobile off-grid system, or an RV power hub, correct fusing isn’t just a best practice; it’s foundational to safety, compliance, and long-term reliability.

That’s where the Artek Class-T Fuse Holder Mount comes in. Produced in small batches and locally made using in-house 3D printing, this purpose-built solution is thoughtfully designed for compatibility with Victron Energy NG lithium batteries and in adherence with ABYC (American Boat & Yacht Council) fuse proximity recommendations. This solution addresses one of the most overlooked parts of system installs: keeping your over-current protection exactly where it needs to be.

What Makes It Different?

Implementing conventional fuse holders require remote mounting, improvised brackets, or excess cabling, Artek’s Class-T Fuse Holder Mount is engineered with installers, integrators, and OEMs in mind. It mounts directly to existing screw locations on Victron NG batteries, allowing the fuse to be installed at the electrically correct location: right at the source. No battery modification. No compromises.

Multiple mounting configurations are supported, with both top-mount and side-mount options available to accommodate tight spaces and varied battery orientations. Threaded brass inserts provide durable hardware retention, ensuring secure connections that stand up to vibration and real-world use. The result is a clean, repeatable installation that meets ABYC requirements while elevating overall build quality. Put simply: this isn’t a one-off accessory - it’s a purposeful system component that elevates your build quality, improves safety, and streamlines installs.

Designed for Real-World Power Systems

Class-T fuses are trusted for fast-acting over-current protection and high interrupt ratings, making them ideal for high-current DC systems supporting equipment like Victron Energy MultiPlus inverters, DC-DC chargers, and critical DC loads. These systems demand robust overcurrent protection - especially in modern lithium installations where available short circuit current is high. Without a purpose-built fuse holder mounted directly at the battery, meeting ABYC safety requirements and maintaining clean, serviceable cable runs can quickly become burdensome.

The Artek Class-T Fuse Holder Mount is designed to eliminate friction in this process, providing a battery-adjacent mounting solution that simplifies installs while ensuring proper protection at the correct location – directly at the battery – rather than wherever space allows. This distinction is critical in high-current DC systems where conductor length, fault current, and compliance matter. Artek’s long-time friend Charlie Johnson, a member of the ABYC board, offered guidance throughout the iterative design and development process. This reinforced the fact that our Class T Fuse Holder Mount would meet ABYC standards, enabling Class-T fuses to be installed within the required 7 inches of the battery positive terminal. This placement minimizes unprotected conductor length, reduces fault risk, and supports compliant system design across marine, RV, and mobile power applications.

Our Class-T Fuse Holder Mount is also compatible with a wide range of Class-T fuse blocks and fuses, supporting systems from 110A and scaling to higher-current DC battery banks. Its precise mounting geometry ensures proper alignment and conductor routing in professional installations, and it is designed to pair with insulated fuse blocks. Common pairings include Blue Sea Systems Class T Fuse Block with Insulating Cover, Blue Sea Systems Class T Fuse Block, and BEP Class T Fuse Holder. These options let you pair your fuse holder with fusing solutions that match your build’s current rating and environmental needs, from marine to van life and beyond.

Expanding the System: The Artek Class-T Bus Bar

To further streamline high-current system architecture, Artek has produced its Class-T Bus Bar, designed in-house to work in conjunction with the Class-T Fuse Holder. Compatible with all Class-T fuse blocks, the bus bar is engineered to create a compact, battery-adjacent interface for clean power distribution while preserving proper over-current protection at the source.

Beyond compatibility, the Class-T Bus Bar has been developed to solve a familiar challenge in high-current DC systems: managing multiple conductors without clutter, excess cable length, or improvised stacking at the battery terminal. By consolidating downstream connections at a dedicated distribution point immediately after the Class-T fuse, the bus bar improves serviceability, supports clearer system layouts, and reduces mechanical stress on battery terminals—especially in mobile and vibration-prone environments. The result is a more intentional, scalable approach to power distribution that complements the fuse holder and reinforces Artek’s system-first design philosophy.

Looking ahead, the Class-T Fuse Holder Mount and Class-T Bus Bar represent more than individual components—they signal Artek’s broader approach to DC power architecture. By designing hardware that works together from the battery outward, Artek is focused on reducing installation frustration, improving compliance, and enabling cleaner, more scalable power systems as current demands continue to grow. As high-performance mobile and off-grid platforms evolve, Artek will continue developing purpose-built solutions that turn best-practice electrical design into repeatable, real-world installations.

Why It Matters

When you’re designing or installing a power system, the small stuff adds up. Thoughtful components like Artek’s Class-T Fuse Holder Mount and Class-T Bus Bar don’t just make installations cleaner, they make them safer, repeatable, and more professional. For integrators, builders, and DIYers alike, it’s one of those parts you won’t regret adding to the foundation of your high performance power systems.

It’s not just a fuse mount — it’s building better power systems from the ground up.
