At Artek, we specialize in eliminating traditional generators by designing efficient, intelligent mobile power systems. Our recent project with Sparks Video, a professional mobile production company, is a perfect example of what’s possible with modern hybrid power integration.

Sparks Video tasked Artek with removing the noisy, fuel-hungry generator from their broadcast truck and replacing it with a cleaner, more advanced solution. We implemented a Victron Energy hybrid generator system—built around the Victron Hybrid Generator model—and replaced the traditional generator with a 48V secondary alternator controlled by a Wakespeed advanced alternator regulator. This regulator communicates directly with the Victron system, allowing for precise voltage and current control based on the battery bank’s needs.

To supply the required 240V AC power for onboard production equipment, we installed a dual inverter/charger Quattro setup, enabling true split-phase output. The Victron Cerbo GX ties the system together, monitoring the battery’s state of charge and automatically triggering the vehicle to start when charging is needed. This transforms the truck into a self-contained hybrid power platform—reducing idle time, cutting emissions, and eliminating the need for a dedicated generator.
